Godin Guitars
 |
Godin guitars are quality electric guitars made in Canada by Robert Godin. Like Seagull and A&L, they are manufactured from trees recovered
from the bottom of Canada's lakes. That's right, not logged from forests! Robere Godin builds over 250,000 guitars in Canada and the U.S.A. every year! The Godin electric guitars rival the better known names for sound quality, finish and value, yet they start at just $899 good old Aussie dollars. Godin Multiac nylon or steel string guitars are aimed at the established, confident player looking to move towards "expert". Merrylands Music is an authorised stockist of Godin Guitars and we will be happy to recommend a Godin for absolutely every style of playing you can dream up! Here is just a sample of what is available..... |

Detour |
The Detour adds another double cutaway solid-body to Godin’s growing roster of Performance Series guitars. The short-scale (24 ¾”), rock maple neck provides both easy string bending and a comfortable, compact feel. A block of Silver-Leaf Maple provides a solid anchor point for the bridge and neck with balance provided by light Poplar wings on each side of the body. Maximum neck/body resonance is further assured by the super-tight neck pocket, which is masked prior to finishing to make sure that there is no paint or finish residue left to impede a perfect wood-on-wood connection. Strings pass through a brass plate in the back of the guitar and through the body for maximum sustain. All of this exceptional resonance is captured by two Godin humbucking pickups.
The neck and body of the Detour are crafted in La Patrie, Quebec Canada and assembled at Godin USA in Berlin, New Hampshire.
Available in Black Pearl or Red with a high gloss finish as well as Silver with a satin finish. Each Detour comes in a deluxe Godin gig bag

Exit 22 |
The Exit22 is the latest addition to Godin's popular Performance Series. Featuring a solid mahogany body and rock maple neck with choice of rosewood or maple fingerboard. The Exit22 is the first Godin guitar to combine a 24¾ scale with Godin's new 22-fret neck.
This combination not only produces ultra comfortable feel and balance, it also delivers big in the sound department. Where many guitars tend to excel specifically for distortion sounds or clean sounds the Exit 22 does it all. Monstrous distortion tones are easily dialed in via the Godin humbucker in the bridge, and stinging clean sounds are also at your fingertips thanks to the Godin Single coil pickups in the neck and middle position. The Exit 22 is finished with a semi-gloss finish that gives it a beautiful understated look.

LGX-Sa |
The LGX-SA is a three-voice guitar featuring electric and acoustic guitar sounds, plus the infinite possibilities provided by synth access. The output from the bridge transducer system in the LGXT-SA produces six separate signals—one for each string. This divided signal is called hexaphonic and is used to drive guitar synths. The most visible difference between the standard LGXT and the LGXT-SA is in the ebony fingerboard. The use of the ebony fingerboard improves synth tracking. Guitar synth systems in the past were technically complicated and required radical changes in playing technique. The LGXT-SA/RolandTM GR-synth combination represents a new standard in user friendliness and performance. This is truly a 'plug in and play' system of awesome quality.

LG |
The hand crafted mahogany neck of the LG sits in a deep pocket in the mahogany body. This crucial connection provides excellent energy transfer between neck and body. Pulling the strings through the body increases resonance even further. In other words, this is one lively guitar. The pickups and bridge are also recessed into the body to achieve a very comfortable position for your right hand. Inspired by classic, all-mahogany electric guitars, we equipped the LG with two Godin Humbucker pickups. The 24¾" scale enhances the LG's bottom end and playability. Blues and Rock players looking for a smooth sounding guitar should check out the LG.

SolidAC |
This combines the sound of magnetic pickups (electric guitar) with a bridge transducer system for acoustic sounds. This guitar offers players the versatility of a humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration along with a transducer-equipped tremolo bridge. All of this sonic power comes in an instrument that sports the same ultra comfortable Mahogany neck found on the LGX with a Silver Leaf Maple body. Individual outputs are provided for the magnetics and the bridge, with the bridge output doubling as a mix out for both signals when used alone. There is an internal preamp voiced to provide excellent acoustic sound when used with any full range system and it produces very good acoustic tone even when plugged into a regular guitar amp. The Solidac represents an opportunity for players on a tighter budget to consider a two-voice concept guitar that retains all of the hand-finished quality that is a standard feature in every Godin instrument. A well-padded, well-pocketed heavy duty gig-bag is included. |

ACS (Synth Access) |
The Godin ACS SA blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design. The incredibly comfortable neck from the Multiac Nylon is used here with a Maple body to achieve the most affordable synth access guitar ever. Although the body is chambered, response from the maple top is more typical of a solid body design than that of a traditional acoustic guitar. This design results in an instrument that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even when the band gets loud. The engine in both the ACS-SA & ACS-SA Slim includes individual transducer saddles powered by a customized preamp system from the RMCTM Pickup Company. This system not only produces superb amplified sound, but also produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector enabling direct access to RolandTM GR-Series guitar synthesizers. Specs: Mahogany neck,Ebony Fingerboard, 16" fingerboard radius, 25 1/2" Scale, 1 7/8" nut width, Chambered Silver Leaf Maple body, custom RMC electronics with 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths. Supplied in heavy duty gig-bag.

Montreal |
The Godin Montreal is the latest in a series of two-voiced guitars from Godin that marry the electric sound from traditional magnetic pickups with the acoustic sound from saddle transducers in the bridge. The two-chamber body of the Montreal is carved from a solid block of Mahogany and capped with a carved solid mahogany top adorned with two F-holes and cream binding. The 22-fret, 24 ¾ scale, neck is also fashioned from mahogany, and shaped for exceptional comfort by means of Godin’s ergocut technique. Hardware is black and gold including, two Godin humbuckers, a bridge loaded with L.R.Baggs transducer saddles, and an on-board preamp EQ. The two humbucking pickups produce an extensive range of sounds thanks to a special 5-way switch that provides five distinct tones on its own. Add in the bridge transducers and the palette of sounds becomes infinite. The two outputs are set up so that the electric and acoustic voices can be blended in the guitar using a single patch cord or at the amp/mixer using both outputs. Jazz and Blues players will love the way this guitar sounds and feels. Supplied in a heavy duty Godin gig-bag
